I loved the time I spent working as a commercial fisherman and the past 20 years as a long-haul truck driver. I loved the jobs, but not the headaches that come with the job.
Finally, at 49 years old, I decided that I needed to give back. The only way I see to do that is through my own business. That is why I decided to go to college and get a Bachelors degree in communications.
I am about to finish my second year. When I started two years ago I didn't know the difference between an OS and an application. I was terrified of the computer and had to work hard at it to gain some measure of self confidence.
What I learned, and love to learn, is that I can find information on virtually anything. I am embracing 30DC whole-heartedly. It is my desire to learn all of it, every bit. Not so much so that I can use it, rather so that I can teach it.

For sure, the thing I am loving to learn the most, is learning who you all are. You are some of the most dedicated aand industrious people I have ever had the pleasure to learn with.
I am not talking solely about Ed, Dan, Bob and the rest of the TDC team, but the rest of you who, like me, are trying to make the internet work for them.
You people are so inspiring that it has made the whole TDC experience the most exciting thing I have ever enjoyed. Thanks, Roy.
